  6. lines giving a gridiron effect, hence the
  7. sport's other name, `gridiron football'.
  8. Played with an oval ball like rugby, it also
  9. uses rugby-style goalposts. Players are well
  10. padded for protection and wear protective
  11. helmets. A team consists of more than 40
  12. players but only 11 are allowed on the field
  13. at any one time. Games are divided into four
  14. quarters of 15 minutes each. Super Bowl first
